TaeBo Basic Bootcamp Floor and Kickboxing Moves

BY Nancy Janiola IN , 13 comments

Among Billy Blank’s intense workout programs, TaeBo Bootcamp (Basic Training) is what I found the most difficult. Unlike the other programs it took me weeks to correspond to some of its heart-pounding moves.

Below are screenshots I took out from the instructional video that I am using.

Stretching.

No matter what your size is if you’re new to this stretching move, you will really find it arduous just like the rest of Bootcamp moves. It takes time to get limber and do exactly as they do on the photo below.
Strength.
Pushups for me is the most agonizing move I can hardly cope up with up until now. Good thing there’s modified way to do it. See what Billy is doing below? At a series of 4 sets, I do half of it using my knees and half with both legs fully extended.
Kickboxing. I fell in love with this move the moment I learned how to carry it out the right way. It feels like I went through a martial arts class. :D
Glute muscles exercise.
Lower ab exercise.
This and more of glute muscles exercise is what I so badly need! I mean I spend pretty much of my time sitting, doing my online job and barely move around – causing a nasty build up on my lower belly. Grrr… I hate thinking about it that’s why instead of two; I try to do TaeBo at least 4-5 times a week.
It’s not easy to workout. Billy says it all the time. It takes mind and will to get you going. No wonder why a lot of people quit. But remember… there are no shortcuts to anything worth having. If you’re focused on what you’re trying to achieve, determination is the key so do it now and do it right!

My day will not be complete without stretching and sit ups. I just feel that my body won't work well and would feel lazy the whole day if I fail to do these stuff. Read once that a simple stretching will actually help your bloodstreams, and relieves you from stress.

Wow! I miss exercising and just sweating it out! I used to do taebo way back in college and it really energizes me. Right now, I opted for a more serene yoga but I can't do it regularly.

I use the Hip Hop Abs workout videos, but this looks like a great instructional video too. I'll try and check ;)

My form of exercise is a couple of minutes of "hataw" with my lola in the morning and an 8 hour shift each day as a nurse running around taking care of patients and chasing doctors for referrals! HAHA. I hope I can try kickboxing soon. It looks super kickass cool!
