Ever wonder why you are irritable in the mornings? It might have something to do with your eating routine. I got this information as I opened my mail today. I usually disregard unsolicited emails that go through my inbox but the subject itself caught my attention so I read through.

Report from American Dietetic Association says that people who skip breakfast tend to be tired, restless, and irritable in the mornings. We all know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day as the nutrition we get from the food we eat fuels our body thus making us productive either at work or at home.

Now I'm not saying do it! I am as well guilty on this. Not for anything else but I just couldn’t draw some appetite in the morning most of the time and is probably one of the reasons why I can easily get cranky. The rest of my family members do eat regularly. I don't! But there's always room for change. It's just a matter of doing things regularly with discipline to make it a good habit.
Cereals do works for me at times, though. What about you?

Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) causes abdominal pain, bloating and alternating constipation and diarrhoea. The cause is unknown, but factors such as emotional stress, infection and some foods can aggravate the condition. Treatment options include dietary modifications and stress management.

Target the most troublesome symptom (diarrhoea, constipation or abdominal spasm), ideally with 'as required' medication or careful dose titration. Try to manage children by dietary changes alone, as evidence for drug treatment is poorer than in adults, and laxatives are more likely to cause dependence.
